When DigiTech invented the PDS8000 pedal almost twenty years ago, it stored eight seconds of audio. Now DigiTech have reinvented the JamMan using removable CompactFlash memory to store up to 24 minutes of 44.1kHz audio on the supplied 128MB card and up to 6.5 hours with optional 2GB CompactFlash cards. With on-board rhythm functions, the ability to change temp without changing pitch, storage of up to 99 loops, the JamMan is the perfect onstage performace companion, a "backing band in a box".
The JamMan also contains an USB port so you can download your loops to your computer as .wav files, and later upload the files back to the JamMan. A wide range of features combined with ease of use make the DigiTech JamMan the perfect looper/phrase sampler for practicing, composing, and performing.
The DigiTech JamMan Looper/Phrase Sampler is designed for the performing vocalist and musician. By using CompactFlash memory, the JamMan is capable of creating seamless loops with virtually infinite overdub capability. Input audio can be from an 1/4" instrument jack for guitar, bass, or keyboard, balanced XLR microphone or mini-jack CD/AUX line level audio source. The JamMan's aux input means it is easy to record rhythm tracks from a drum machine or CD and store them on JamMan. Up to 99 loops can be stored on a CompactFlash card in .wav format which can be transferred to a PC via USB for archiving. Record your own loops and overdub them on the fly, in the studio, or onstage.
And when using an optional 2GB CompactFlash card, you can record over 6 hours of loops and samples, instead of just minutes. Connect to a computer via the DigiTech JamMan’s USB port and the JamMan becomes a card reader that shous up as a new drive on your computer. Just drag and drop files from the card onto you hard drive for storage, and retrieve them as easily by dragging them back onto the card. This gives you the potential of an unlimited pool of loops to draw from. Load up the Digitech JamMan with a drum track, bass line, vocal and solo harmonies, the JamMan becomes a band in a box. Slow down or speed up any song without changing pitch. With the DigiTech JamMan in your gig bag , the possibilities are literally endless.
The Digitech JamMan has a high visibility, brightyly lit numeric display, buttons and LEDs suitable for use in dark stages and studios. Make fast loop changes with the Select knob. Record, play, overdub, undo and all Hands-Free. Combine the JamMan with the optional 3 button DigiTech FS3X controller pedal for remote looping, to select the Auto Record function, and to move up and down through the 99 memory locations.
The DigiTech JamMan is powered by an included AC adapter.
